Everyone at Action For Kids is proud to be a Devonshires charity partner. Since 2011 we have worked closely with the firm, its charity partners and clients and received funds from The Devonshires Foundation and this continues to have a tangible and far-reaching impact on our work with disabled children and young people.

Community support and social responsibility is embedded into the ethos at Devonshires. They operate in a truly inclusive and accessible way in employment, the environment and with the community. When we ask for support the response is always phenomenal. Devonshires employees have an appetite for extreme and arduous fundraising challenges and they always present a positive and energetic approach to working with us.

Our partnership with Devonshires is changing lives and presenting a positive message about disability in the workplace. Devonshires and one of their other charity partners, Wide Horizons Outdoor Education Trustworked with us to develop a new residential life and work skills programme of outdoor adventure learning. A group of long-term unemployed disabled young people embarked on a series of residential activities and challenges and gained hugely in confidence while improving their problem solving skills based around finding and staying in work. We could not have even considered getting this project off the ground without the funding and input provided by Devonshires and Wide Horizons.

The time Action For Kids disabled children and young people spend with our partners at Devonshires throughout the year is also about having fun and creating special memories. The annual ‘Devonshires Does Panto’ Christmas party and panto trip is one of the highlights of the year for all of us and is wholly attributable to the access we have to another Devonshires charity partner, The Theatre Royal Stratford East.

"Action for Kids are a long term Devonshires charity and its really rewarding to see the benefits our fundraising challenges bring to the disabled children and young people they work with."
