Providing mobility equipment for disabled children and young people

AFK provides mobility equipment not available on the NHS, such as bespoke powered wheelchairs, specialised trikes and walkers, to disabled children and young people up to age 25.

Who can apply?

The right piece of equipment can mean the difference between playing outside with friends or watching from the sidelines; between working and going to college or relying on others for everything. It can help with pain management, muscle strength and independence.

For 30 years we have been committed to providing those pieces of equipment which cannot easily be obtained elsewhere.

Our team will accept applications from or on behalf of anyone up to the age of 25 who cannot get the mobility equipment they need on the NHS.

Ready to apply?

To apply for funding for mobility equipment, please click below. There is not a facility to save the form as you go or to return to it at a later time. Therefore, please allow at least a half hour to complete and submit the form.
