Online Programme: Activity Information

The AFK Online Programme offers young people aged 14-25 the opportunity to learn new things, develop their skills and socialise with others – all from the safety of home.

 

We are continuing to provide a full programme of online activities for young people during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Monday

2pm-3pm: Social Media & Online Safety

Suitable for ages: 14-25

This session will help you make the most of the Internet while making smart decisions when you are online.

4pm-5pm: Virtual Multi-Sport Challenge with the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation!

Suitable for ages: 14-25

Get moving and build your strength in this sports exercise session in partnership with the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation!

 

Running for 6 sessions from Monday 22nd February until Monday 29th March.

Tuesday

10am-11am: Sanjuro/Martial Arts

Suitable for ages: 14-25

Sanjuro/Martial arts for Beginners teaches you some basic martial arts moves, offering an emphasis on form, fitness, and flexibility!

11am-12pm: Ex-trainee Coffee Morning

Suitable for former AFK trainees, age 25+

This is a chance for our older trainees (over age 25) to join us for a drink and catch up with each other.

2:30pm-3:30pm: Yoga

Suitable for ages: 14-25

Yoga is an ancient form of exercise that focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental wellbeing.

Wednesday

10am-11am: Leadership Development

Suitable for ages: 14-25

We want to help you be the best leader you can be. Our leadership development sessions are designed for young people wanting to develop their full leadership potential.

11am-12pm: Cooking

Suitable for ages: 14-25

Learn some basic recipes that can help you make some easy, delicious meals during lockdown.

Thursday

11am-12:30pm: Wellbeing Session

Suitable for ages: 16-25

How are you feeling? Join our online wellbeing group with your AFK friends to express your feelings, learn to relax, and share ideas for coping with lockdown.

2pm-3pm: Virtual Travel Training

Suitable for ages: 16-25

Even though we can’t travel much right now, it’s still important to know how to travel safely on public transport. This session will help you understand transport safety, plan your journey and respond to situations that may arise while travelling.

Friday

Suitable for ages: 14-25

Zumba is a form of dance exercise that will get you moving and having fun in no time!

12pm-1pm: Wellbeing Session

Suitable for ages: 16-25
