Our work with schools and colleges Our unique transition programme encourages independence and focusses on creating opportunities so our students can live their lives more like others their age. For students 14+ our Education & Training programme helps school and college students with special educational needs/disabilities (SEND). What we offer: Work experience in a real working environment at our head office and at Bikes For Good Causes bike shop and cafe. The opportunity to prepare for their future and ultimately gain paid employment. Different media tools and personalised ways of working to help individuals express their aspirations. Real skills and work experience With my AFK, students gain confidence and useful experience by completing real work in our busy office.They learn how to answer the telephone, improve their computer skills, help with reception and administration duties, and support events.While doing this we focus on employment skills such as: Punctuality Communicating with colleagues, peers and managers Working in a team Following instructions and prioritising tasks Focusing on, sustaining interest and persisting with tasks Completing tasks to a good standard We currently work with schools and colleges in Camden, Haringey, Islington, Enfield, Barnet, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest and Hackney.
