Work experience at my AFK

If you are aged 14+ and have a learning disability, my AFK can help you learn the skills you need to find a job.

You can do work experience at our head office in Hornsey, North London, at our bike shop and café called Bikes For Good Causes, and at our Edible Garden project.

At the office, you could:

  • Help us with our monthly raffle draw
  • Send our magazine to subscribers
  • Help with other office tasks

At the bike shop and café, you could:

  • Make coffee using the coffee machine, as well as tea and other drinks
  • Help customers by taking their orders and serving them drinks and snacks
  • Learn how to use the till

At the Edible Garden, you could:

  • Learn how to grow food in the garden
  • Serve customers in the café
  • Learn how to use the till

Getting a job

Once you have completed your work experience and learned new skills, we can help you get a job with one of our corporate partners, or somewhere else.
